Traditional recipe of south is pepper rasam to which I have given a twist by adding some grapes by which its taste is enhanced.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tomatoes 500 gram
  2. Green grapes 100 gram
  3. Black grapes 100 gram
  4. Green chillies 1
  5. Ginger 1 inch
  6. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Black salt 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Black pepper crushed 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Rasam powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Curry leaves 5...6 leaves
  12. Oil 1 teaspoon Tamarind pulp 1 teaspoon


  1. Wash and chopped tomatoes,ginger and green chillies
  2. Wash grapes
  3. Put a pan on medium heat adding chopped tomatoes ginger and green chillies and grapes of both types
  4. Now boil them along with 2 glasses of water
  5. Take a boil and turn off the flame
  6. After cooling down grind it and sieve in a pan
  7. Add both the salts ,rasam powder and pepper powder
  8. Make tadka by heating oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves Add this tadka in rasam
  9. Add tamarind pulp
  10. Take a boil and turn off the flame
  11. Serve hot
