Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For grinding Pepper 1 tsp
  2. Jeera 1 tsp
  3. Fenugreek seeds pinch Optional
  4. Garlic 3-4 pods
  5. Tomato 1
  6. Curry leaves optional
  7. Coriander leaves optional
  8. Hing
  9. For Rasam Tamarind small lemon Size
  10. Turmeric
  11. Salt
  12. For garnish Coriander leaves
  13. For seasoning Ghee
  14. Jeera
  15. curry leaves


  1. Soak Tamarind for 10-15 mins
  2. Take things required for grinding
  3. Add 1 TSP Pepper, 1 TSP jeera, garlic 3, tomatoes 1, hing, methi pinch(optional), curry and Coriander leaves ( optional) in a blender. Since pepper increases body heat added pinch of methi. Curry leaves for skin. Coriander leaves for kidney cleansing.
  4. Blend to smooth paste
  5. Extract tamarind juice. It is important to strain tamarind. If not the remains will get deposited in appendix causing appendicitis.
  6. Add smooth paste to tamarind juice. Add Turmeric.
  7. Add salt. Add required water
  8. Boil for 5 mins
  9. Garnish with Coriander leaves
  10. Add Seasoning made with Ghee, Jeera and Curry leaves
  11. Serve with hot rice.
