Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour -2 cup
  2. Chana dal -2 cup
  3. Ginger - 1inch stick
  4. Cumin seeds -a pinch
  5. Ajwain -a pinch
  6. Mangrail /onion seeds -a pinch
  7. Chopped coriander leaves -1tbsp
  8. Chopped green chilly -2
  9. Salt -to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak chana dal for 4-5 hours.
  2. .Then drain chana dal and add ginger and grind it.
  3. .No need to add water while grinding.
  4. Very smooth paste is ready.
  5. Mix cumin seeds, coriander leaves, green chilly and salt.
  6. Take wheat flour. Mix salt, ajwain, mangrail/onion seeds and make a smooth dough with the help of water
  7. water.Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  8. .Flatten the balls into thick round puri
  9. Stuff the dal filling in round shape puri and fold it
  10. Steam it for ten mins
  11. Again heat the oil in a kadai and cut the pitha into 4-5 pieces and fry it until golden brown in colour.
  12. .Flip once in between.
  13. . Always cook in medium flame.
  14. Drain extra oil in paper napkin.
