This is authentic Gujarat traditional sweet dish. This is wheat flour sweet dish.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Grated jaggery 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee 5 tbsp
  4. Elaichi powder 1/4 tsp
  5. Gond 1 tsp
  6. Sonth powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Almond 6-7
  8. Badi saunf 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1. Take the ghee in heated pan.
  2. 2. Then add one cup of whole wheat flour and mix it well.
  3. 3. Stir it continuously.
  4. 4. Slowly slowly flour starts to change its colour.
  5. 5. Now fry the edible gond and add into it.
  6. 6. Keep stirring and then add sonth powder.
  7. 7. After few min it becomes linght golden brown then add some chopped almonds.
  8. 8. Now switch off the flame and add grated jaggery and elaichi powder and fold it immediately.
  9. 9. Jaggery will melt itself due to hot wheat flour.
  10. 10. Pour the mix into greased plate and spread it evenly and sprinkle badi saunf and almonds.
  11. 11. Let it cool down for a while then cut into pieces.
  12. 12. Now serve it to your loved ones
