About Panki Makai Baati Recipe

Traditionally found in Madhya Pradesh,Malwa ,this is a great recipe for your tastebuds.This is traditionally eated with hot dal.

Panki Makai Baati

Ingredients to make Panki Makai Baati

  • Makai atta 2 cups
  • ghee 2 tbs
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Ajwain 1/2tsp
  • Lukewarm water for kneading
  • Badam tree leaves or banana leaves 6to 7 pieces(wash them properly)

How to make Panki Makai Baati

  1. Knead the dough with above ingredients.
  2. Wipe the leaves after soaking.
  3. Make a ball and place it between two leaves.
  4. Then tap it on both the sides to make a roti.
  5. Heat the oven on gas Tandoor and place the roti on gas for medium frame for 15 to 20 minutes and flip it again.
  6. Don't forget to cover the baati with Luscious flowing ghee.
  7. Your Makai Panki Bati is ready.Enjoy it with hot dal.

My Tip:

The dough should be soft like chapati.
