Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups - cooked rice (Leftover rice can also be used
  2. 1 medium size Potato boiled
  3. 1 medium size Onion Chopped fine
  4. 1 tbsp - Paprika
  5. 1 tbsp - Oregano
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 cup grated cheese
  8. 1 cup cubed Cheddar cheese
  9. Parsley or coriander chopped
  10. 2 eggs
  11. 1 cup Cornflour
  12. 1 cup breadcrumbs


  1. Add a little salt and pepper to the cornflour and keep aside
  2. Beat the eggs with a lil salt and pepper
  3. Like wise take the breadcrumbs in a separate plate.
  4. To the cooked rice, add the mashed potatoes, onions, paprika, oregano, salt, grated cheese and parsley / coriander and mix well. Add a tbsp of cornflour to the mixture to bind it together.
  5. Now heat oil in a pan
  6. Make medium size balls of the rice mixture, put a cube of the Cheddar cheese in the center and close it properly.
  7. Now coat it first in the cornflour mix, then give it an egg wash and finally coat with the breadcrumbs
  8. Fry it in a batch of 4 - 5 in oil over medium heat, till the outer coating gets a golden color
  9. Drain it on kitchen towel
  10. Serve hot with tomato sauce. Your yummy cheesy Rice balls are ready to be enjoyed!!!
