Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 medium sized potatoes, boiled and mashed.
  2. 2 cubes grated Amul chesse
  3. Salt to naste
  4. 1 tablespoon cornflour for binding
  5. 1 tablespoon cornflour for dipping the balls
  6. 1/2 cup powdered cornflakes for coating the balls


  1. Take the mashed potatoes and the grated cheese in a bowl. Sprinkle the cornflour. Add salt.
  2. Mix and bring together into a very soft dough(you can adjust the cornflour to bring the dough to the right consistency).
  3. Make small equal sized balls from the dough and keep aside.
  4. Make a thin batter with water and cornflour.
  5. Spread the cornflakes powder on a platter.
  6. Preheat the oil. Once hot turn the flame to low.
  7. Dip the balls in cornflour batter and coat it evenly with cornflakes powder.
  8. Deep fry on high flame.
  9. Once the balls turn golden drain the excess oil and take out on a plate lined with kitchen paper.
  10. Serve hot with your choice of chutneys
