Cheese Rice Balls

Ingredients to make Cheese Rice Balls

  • 1 cup leftover rice
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella or cheddar cheese grated
  • 2-3 green chilly finally chopped
  • chilly flakes as per taste
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • Salt Black, pepper as per taste
  • oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp corn starch + 1 tbsp flaxseed meal mix with water
  • Fresh bread crumbs for coating

How to make Cheese Rice Balls

  1. In a large bowl take rice, grated cheese, black pepper, salt, chilly flakes, oregano and mix well. Make small dumplings out of it and keep aside.
  2. In a bowl add corn starch and flaxseed meal, add water. Dip all dumplings in it and coat with bread crumbs and keep it on parchment paper.
  3. Fry all balls in oil till golden brown in colour.
  4. Serve hot with ketchup or any chutney you like.

My Tip:

As cheese has salty flavour, add less salt. You can add all colours bell pepper, onions and crushed corn in to rice mixture to make it more healthy.
