About Dosa Recipe

A healthy and tasty breakfast which is good for all. Dosa are made on only tawa which cannot be used for toasting chapati or rotis as the dosa May stick to the tawa even it’s clean and greased. A terrific tawa recipe is Dosa or Dosai, which is serve with sambar and chutney.

Ingredients to make Dosa

  • 2 cups of idli rice
  • 1/2 cup of urad dal
  • rock salt 1 tablespoon

How to make Dosa

  1. Dosa
  2. Make a smooth batter of idli rice and urad dal soaking them for 4 hrs. Leave it to ferment for 4hrs
  3. Heat a tawa with a drop of oil and grease it with a cut onion
  4. Pour 1 big spoonful of fermented batter and spread evenly making rounds
  5. Pour a tablespoon of oil in it and try to spread it over the dosa rotating the tawa
  6. Cover it and let it cook for 2 minutes
  7. Open the lid and flip it out for serving
  8. Serve hot with any chutney and sambar
