If you have leftover gujarati daal from your lunch and for dinner if you want to do something very different and healthy too, try this dal ravioli which would be a complete meal for your dinner!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1.5 cup leftover gujarati dal
  2. To make ravioli dough:
  3. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  4. 1 tsp Salt
  6. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1 tsp oil
  8. Water to make a dough
  9. To make ravioli stuffing:
  10. 1/2 cup homemade paneer, crumbled
  11. 1/2 tsp Salt
  12. 1/4 cup capsicum, finely chopped
  13. 1/4 tsp crushed pepper
  14. 1/4 tsp Chilli flakes
  15. Other Ingredients:
  16. Cooked rice, ghee, lemon slice, papad and salad to serve with


  1. For ravioli stuffing:
  2. Mix all the ingredients of stuffing and make the small balls from it and keep them aside.
  3. In a missing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix it well.
  4. Add water gradually and make a dough like chappati dough.
  5. Divide the dough into medium sized equal portions.
  6. Take one portion, and roll it out.
  7. With cookie cutter, cut circles and keep them aside.
  8. Prepare other circles likewise.
  9. Now take one circle, place one stuffing ball on it and cover it with another circle.
  10. Take a fork and mark the edges to give a shape of ravioli.
  11. Prepare other raviolis likewise, meanwhile prepare hot boiling water with salt and oil to cook the raviolis.
  12. Once all prepared, cook the raviolis into boiling water for 6-7 mins( don't overcook them, otherwise it will get cracks)
  13. Once cooked, place them on serving plate, drizzle hot dal when ghee on it, sprinkle papad chura on top with red chilli powder and serve with rice, lemon slice and salad of your choice!
  14. So delicious and very innovative dal ravioli is ready to eat which is made from leftover gujarati dal!
