Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. For batter :
  2. 1 cup moong dal (soaked overnight and ground)
  3. 2 tbsp curd
  4. 1 tsp coriander powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. For Uttapam Toppings
  7. 1/2 cup of fresh chopped fenugreek leaves
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 2 tbsp grated carrot
  10. 2 tbsp Chopped cauliflower
  11. Green chillies
  12. Oil/ghee to saute


  1. Pour a ladle of batter on a nonstick pan. Spread it a little with the help of the backside of the ladle.
  2. Sprinkle the assorted vegetables as mentioned in the ingredients, in the given order.
  3. Pour 1-2 tsp of oil/ghee just on the sides of the uttapam and cover it with a lid for 2-3 mins on a slow flame.
  4. Now remove the lid and carefully turn the uttapam upside down. Cook it on a high flame for a few minutes till you the cauliflower and onions golden and crispy. Serve hot.
