Daal Rava tikki

Ingredients to make Daal Rava tikki

  • 1 cup any leftover daal fry
  • 1/2 Cup Rava
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 Big carrot
  • salt as required
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbs chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbs corn flour
  • 1 green chilly
  • oil for shallow fry

How to make Daal Rava tikki

  1. dry roast rava for 5 minutes on low heat and keep aside
  2. cut onion and green chilly finely and grate carrot
  3. take a pan put 1 tbs oil let it hot and put mustard seeds
  4. now put onion and sauté for 1 minute on medium heat
  5. add carrot and green chili cook for 1 minute on medium heat
  6. pour daal give a good mix cook on medium heat for 2 minutes
  7. add roasted rava if required then add salt also cook until rava absorbs all water then off heat
  8. now take in a bowl add chopped coriander and mix let it cool down then refrigerate for 15 minutes
  9. add corn flour and mix give shape of tikki and shallow fry in pan
  10. cook both sides in golden brown colour and serve with mint chutney and tomato sauce

My Tip:

You can use bread crumbs instead of corn flour
