About Mini Samosa Recipe

These samosas are best enjoyed at tea time. These samosas are made of maida and filled with potato filling with mild spices. Then deep fried .

Mini Samosa

Ingredients to make Mini Samosa

  • APF/maida -2 cups
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee/ clarrified butter -1/4 cup
  • For filling
  • Boiled potatoes-4-5
  • Dry mango powder-1 tsp
  • Chat masala -1/2 tsp
  • peas 1/4 cup
  • cumin seeds -1 tsp
  • Corriander powder - 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli 2
  • oil for frying
  • salt 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder -1 tsp

How to make Mini Samosa

  1. TAKE 2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, ADD 1/2 TSP SALT
  2. ADD 1/4 CUP MELTED GHEE, MIX WELL
  3. WHEN THE MIXTURE STARTS TO BIND LIKE THIS, ADD SUFFICIENT WATER TO KNEAD A TIGHT DOUGH
  4. COVER & SET ASIDE TO REST FOR 20 MINS
  5. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP EACH OF CUMIN & CORIANDER SEEDS, 1 TSP CHOPPED GREEN CHILLI
  6. ADD 1/4 CUP PEAS, COVER & COOK FOR 3-4 MINS ON LOW HEAT
  7. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, SALT TO TASTE
  8. MASH 4-5 BOILED & MASHED POTATOES
  9. ADD 1 TSP AMCHUR & 1/2 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI & CHAT MASALA POWDERS, MIX WELL, TAKE OFF HEAT
  10. ALLOW THE MIXTURE TO COOL, DIVIDE THE READY DOUGH INTO EQUAL BALLS
  11. ROLL OUT ROTIS
  12. CUT INTO HALF LIKE THIS, APPLY WATER ALONG THE EDGES
  13. SHAPE INTO A CONE
  14. FILL 1 TBSP READY MIX
  15. APPLY WATER ON THE SIDES, CLOSE & SEAL TO MAKE A SAMOSA
  16. FILL & SHAPE ALL THE SAMOSAS
  17. DEEP FRY THE SAMOSAS IN BATCHES IN HOT OIL
  18. FLIP & FRY EACH BATCH FOR 8-9 MINS ON LOW MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  19. SERVE HOT WITH KETCHUP OR CHUTNEY
