millet has good nutritive values. What I heard is, it too has high amount of Protein.

Ingredients to make steamed millet khichu

  • 1 cup pearl millet flour
  • 1tsp chopped chilli
  • salt to taste

How to make steamed millet khichu

  1. IN A PAN ADD WATER AND BRING IT TO BOIL, ADD 1TSP JIRA,1TSP CHILLI
  2. ADD SALT AND THEN FLOUR TO ITSTIR IT CONTINUOUSLY SO THAT THERE ARE NO LUMPS AND THE MIXTURE IS EVEN AND THICK.
  3. TRANSFER THE MIXTURE TO A PRESSURE COOKER CONTAINER WITH WATER 
  4. COOK TILL THE PRESSURE IS RELEASED ONCE(1 WHISTLE). REMOVE FROM THE HEAT AND COOL IT. 
  5. NOW OPEN THE COOKER AND REMOVE THE READY TO EAT KHICHU
  6. GARNISH IT WITH CORIANDER AND PICKLE MASALA, OIL ON IT.
  7. SERVE HOT AND ENJOY.
