Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Medium size potato - 4
  2. Chopped tomato - 2
  3. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  7. Garlic cloves - 3 - 4
  8. Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Oil - 2 tbsp
  11. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes and cut into four pieces
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker,add fenugreek seeds to crackle
  3. Add potatoes and saute for one mins,now add red chilly powder and turmeric powder and saute for 5 to 6 mins
  4. Grind the mustard seeds ,cumin seeds and garlic cloves to make a fine paste.
  5. Add this mustard seeds paste in the pressure cooker and saute for one mins and now add tomato and mix well
  6. Add one cup water for gravy and pressure cook on medium flame.
  7. After one whistle simmer the flame for five mins
  8. Once cooled ,open the lid and add salt and mix well.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves
  10. Serve with kachor
