A healthy paratha with green leaves and potato stuffed inside with some masalas. it goes very well with curd and tomato chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. wheat flour - 2 cup
  2. methi leaves - 1 cup
  3. potato - 2 medium
  4. garlic - 3 pods
  5. onion - 1 small
  6. black pepper - 5-6
  7. green chilli - 2
  8. coriander leaves
  9. garam masala
  10. amchur powder
  11. For Chutney:
  12. tomato - 3 medium
  13. green chilli - 2
  14. ginger garlic paste
  15. hing powder
  16. jeera
  17. turneric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  18. chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  19. garam maaala - 1 teaspoon
  20. cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  21. sugar and salt
  22. coriander leaves for garnish


  1. STEPS FOR METHI PARATHA Wash methi leaves in running water clearly and chop to small size.
  2. Grind clove, black pepper, onion and garlic to a fine paste. Mix whole wheat atta, chopped methi, ground mixture, garam masala and salt and make a soft dough adding enough water. Mash boiled potato, add garam masala, amchur powder along with salt and bit ajwain.
  3. Make lemon size balls of dough and stuff potato mixture in it.
  4. Roll it to make paratha.
  5. Heat a tawa, place the paratha and cook both sides applying oil.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, add jeera, when it sizzles add hing powder, along with ginger garlic and green chilli.
  8. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and garam masala.
  9. Mix well and add tomato along with salt and bit sugar.
  10. Cover the pan and wait for tomato to cook, finally add coriander leaves.
