About Khandvi (In Pressure Cooker) Recipe

Khandvi is Gujarati famous snack.I have tired for the first time came out well and i did in pressure cooker it was very easy.Hope you all will like it.

Khandvi (In Pressure Cooker)

Ingredients to make Khandvi (In Pressure Cooker)

  • 1 cup besan / chickpea flour / gram flour
  • 1/2 cup palak juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger - green chilli paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric / haldi
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 Cup water
  • 4 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • For Tempering :
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin Seeds
  • curry leaves - 2 sprigs

How to make Khandvi (In Pressure Cooker)

  1. Firstly, in a small vessel take sieved besan.Also add ginger-green chilli paste, turmeric,curd,water,palak juice and salt to taste,mix well.
  2. mix well with a whisk forming a smooth flowing consistency.
  3. Now place the vessel into the cooker.pressure cook for 5 whistles on medium flame
  4. once the pressure releases, take the vessel out and mix well.
  5. Grease very little oil on a plate.take a spatula of besan paste and spread immediately over the plate. allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
  6. now, cut into 2 inch size. furthermore, garnish the khandvi with coriander leaves.
  7. roll tight making sure there are no cracks forming on khandvi.
  8. also prepare the tempering, by heating oil. add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves .once the tempering splutter, pour it over the khandvi. finally, gujarati khandvi is ready to serve with hot chai.
