Classic potato bhaji/masala cooked in pressure cooker .Simplified the process of making this side dish by cooking in pressure cooker from start to finish.It saves a lot of time and gas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Potato -1/2 kilo
  2. Onions-3 (chopped)
  3. Ginger-1 inch piece
  4. Garlic-8 cloves
  5. Green chillies-8 ( slit)
  6. Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
  7. Mustard seeds-1/4 teaspoon
  8. Urud dhal-1 teaspoon
  9. Bengal gram dhal-1 teaspoon
  10. Oil-1 teaspoon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Curry leaves and coriander leaves few

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker add mustard seeds, urad dhal, bengal gram dhal saute for few seconds then add onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies fry for a minute.
  2. Now add the peeled and roughly cubed potatoes , turmeric powder and salt.
  3. Add water just enough to cover the potatoes
  4. Cook for 3 whistles. Immediately remove from fire and release the pressure carefully. Slightly mash the potatoes. Check for salt. Garnish and serve hot.

But OPOS method doesn't include saute/frying right?
