These are made up of cottage cheese /paneer with the filling of green chutney and then dipped in batter of sama and kuttu flour,then deep fried.one can enjoy it any time specially on fasts.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Paneer/cottage cheese 250 gm
  2. Sama rice-1/2 cup
  3. Kuttu flour 1/2 cup
  4. Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  5. Seendha namak or can use normal salt if not on fast 1tsp
  6. Carrom seeds/ajwain -1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  8. Water 1/4 th cup or more
  9. For filling
  10. Mint leaves half cup
  11. Corriander leaves half cup
  12. Green chilli-1
  13. Seendha namak-1/2 tsp
  14. Black pepper-1/2 tsp
  15. Sugar 1tsp
  16. 2-3 tsp water to make paste
  17. Oil for frying


  1. Soak 1/2 cup sama rice for 2 hrs then drain water completely and grind it to paste.next in bowl add this paste and half cup kuttu atta.
  2. Now add 1/4 cup water or more to make thick batter,add salt,black pepper,turmeric powder,ajwain to it .mix well keep aside
  3. Next in mixer jar grind mint coriander leaves salt,sugar,pepper,water,green chilli ,make a thick paste of it.
  4. Now take paneer cut in cubes ,cut half way not completely from last it should remain in contact.
  5. Fill green chutney in it.
  6. Fill all like this
  7. Dip in batter
  8. Completely
  9. Deep fry it in hot oil
  10. Fry at medium flame till its golden and crisp from both sides.
  11. Ready to serve
