Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cottage cheese/paneer 300 grams
  2. chickpea flour/besan one cup
  3. salt and red chilli powder as per taste
  4. soda bicarbonate a pinch
  5. turmeric powder 1/4th teaspoon
  6. oil for frying approximately 200 grams
  7. water to make batter half cup or less the batter should be on thicker side


  1. Take besan add salt, red chilli powder, baking soda, salt and turmeric powder
  2. add water slowly to make batter no lumps should remain
  3. make batter a little thick so that it sticks well to the paneer
  4. heat oil in a wok
  5. cut paneer in a square shape like a bread slice
  6. dip this slice of paneer in heated oil and deep fry
  7. flip while cooking so that it fets evenly cooked
  8. remove
  9. do the same with two more slices of paneer
  10. cool and deep fry again for a minute
  11. cut from middle and serve hot with dip of your choice
  12. dip paneer in batter coat it well
