Ingredients to make Home Style Veg Janfrezi

  • Mix veg (potatoes, cauliflower, beans, baby corn) two cups, thickly diced
  • 1 medium onion
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 3-4 Green Chilies
  • Maida and cornflour both 2 table spoon
  • red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Soya sause 1 tbsp
  • tomato ketchup 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander
  • oil
  • Kasuri methi 1 tbsp

How to make Home Style Veg Janfrezi

  1. Put the diced vegetables in boiling water and blanch them for 2 minutes.
  2. Drain the water and keep it aside for 2 mins.
  3. Now in a bowl put all veggies and add maida and cornflour and mix well till all the veggies are coated.
  4. Now in hot oil deep fry them till golden brown.
  5. Now for gravy add tomatoes, onion, garlic, ginger, green chilies in mixer and grind it.
  6. Now in a deep pan add some oil and heat it now add the gravy paste to it.
  7. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to it.
  8. Put a lid on it and cook for 2 minutes and after that add all the friws veggies in it and cook for another 5-8 minuts till the veggies seems properly done.
  9. Now add soya sauce and ketchup and kasoori methi to the gravy. Mix well and finish with fresh coriander.

My Tip:

Enjoy this dish with hot chapattis without ghee.
