Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Carrots : 1/2 kg
  2. Sugar : 4 cups
  3. Water : 6 cups
  4. Elaichi powder : 1 tsp


  1. Peel and cut carrots from top and bottom.
  2. Cut them into 2 inch thick rounds. Now with the help of peeler take out the hard inner portion of the rings. Wash with water.
  3. Prick all the carrot rings all over with fork.
  4. Take a big bowl (patila) put sugar, water and elaichi powder. Now keep it on gas on high flame till sugar dissolve.
  5. Don't heat it to one string consistency. Now put carrot rings in it and bring to boil and then simmer the gas and let it cook until carrots becomes soft.
  6. Switch off the gas. Cool completely.
  7. Transfer it to airtight jar. Keep it in fridge.
  8. Serve.
