ABOUT Aam ka murabba RECIPE

Murabba is tangy sweet and aromatic. I made this with pure kokan alphonso and decided to spread the taste to everyone. My aunty gulbahar gave me this recipe I just want to give her the credit for this. This recipe is easy but impressive It takes a bit of time to prepare but is well worth the wait.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Raw (hard)Mangoes 6
  2. Sugar 750gm
  3. Lime powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Cardamom pods 4
  5. Cinnamon 1 small stick
  6. Saffron (optional) a pinch
  7. Orange food color a pinch
  8. Salt - a Pinch
  9. Water 4 -5 cups

Instructions

  1. Peel off the skin of raw mangoes and cut into strips or finger shape.
  2. Take small bowl, add 3 cups water and lime powder mix it Then put raw mango strips in it refrigerate this for overnight.
  3. Next day drain lime water.
  4. Take a pan, heat 3-4 cups water then add sugar,cinnamon, cardamom, salt,Saffron or orange food.
  5. Add mango strips in it.
  6. Stir continuously till little thick. Switch off the flame Murabba is ready.
  7. You can refrigerate this murabba for 4-5 months in glass jar.
