Til ki Chutney

Ingredients to make Til ki Chutney

  • sesame seeds 100 gms
  • Gingelly oil 2 tbsp
  • green chillies 2 nos
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves (twigs) 2
  • Tamrind (lemon size)
  • salt to taste
  • Gingelly oil 2 tbsp

How to make Til ki Chutney

  1. Dry roast Sesame seeds and green chillies.
  2. In a bowl Soak tamrind in half cup of water till pulpy.
  3. Coarsely Grind sesame seeds and green chillies and transfer to bowl.
  4. Add tamarind pulp to the paste in above step.
  5. Add water to adjust the consistency of chutney as per your preference.
  6. Heat oil in a wok and add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  7. Once cumin seeds crackle, put it all over the chutney and mix.

My Tip:

You may replace tamarind with tomato, if you prefer it to be less tangy.
