Ingredients to make Dahi ambula

  • 2 no ambula or dried mangoes
  • 2 tbsp mustard paste
  • Panch phoran
  • curry leaves
  • 2 dry red chili
  • Grated coconut 2 tbsp
  • dahi one cup
  • salt as per taste
  • sugar 1 tbsp
  • oil 1 tbsp

How to make Dahi ambula

  1. Soak the dried mangos in warm water for 1 hour .
  2. Now hot oil in a kadhai.add panch phoran dry chili and curry leaves.
  3. Add the dried mangos and mustard paste.
  4. Fry a little.add coconut,
  5. Add 1/2 cup water.mix every thing.add salt and sugar and let it boil for 5 minutes or till the mustard paste is cooked and raw smell is gone.
  6. Now switch off the flame.beat the curd to smooth before hands and add now.
  7. Mix well.let it sit for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve with steamed plain rice.
