Ingredients to make Pomfret masala fry

  • Pomfret fish 2
  • red chilli paste 2 tbspn
  • red chilli powder 2 tbspn
  • Pinch turmeric
  • vinegar 1tblspn
  • Maggie cube 1
  • tomatoes 2 big
  • green chillies 2
  • curry leaves few
  • Corriender leaves few
  • coconut oil for frying
  • mustard seeds pinch
  • ginger 1inch
  • Red colour pinch.
  • salt to taste
  • lemon 1

How to make Pomfret masala fry

  1. First marinate fish with lemon juice, redchilli paste, turmeric, red colour, Maggie cube, red chilli powder and salt keep aside for half an hour.
  2. Tomato paste for fish topping- Take a pan add coconut oil than add mustard seeds, 1green chilli, curry leaves, grated ginger than add chopped tomatoes, 1tblspn red chilli powder vinegar and salt to taste, fry till tomatoes get mashed up than add coriander leaves.
  3. Now on a tawa pour little coconut oil add one green chilli,little grated ginger in this oil fry fish on low flame on both side lastly add that prepared tomatoes paste and cook for 5 mins
  4. Garnish it with onion rings and coriander leaves

My Tip:

Always wash fish with little vinegar, a pinch of turmeric and salt.
