Ingredients to make Chicken karahi white

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 clove
  • 1 Stick cinnamon
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 15-16 green chillies according to spiciness.
  • 5-6 cloves garlic
  • 3 inch ginger
  • 1&1/4 th cup thick yoghurt.
  • 3-4 tbsp fresh cream.
  • 1/2 lemon juice.
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp jeera powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 3/4 th tsp garam masala powder
  • salt as per taste or 2 tsp
  • Ghee /butter 3-5 tsp

How to make Chicken karahi white

  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add whole spices-cinnamon, clove, bay leaf.
  2. Add chopped garlic and ginger. Sautee well.
  3. Add chopped green chillies. And then add finely chopped onions. Sautee till golden.
  4. Add medium cut sized chicken and fry, add 1 tsp salt and stir fry... chicken will release its water, let it cook in it.
  5. In a bowl beat yoghurt, add jeera powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder and mix well..
  6. When the chicken is cooked , add the yoghurt mixture and give a stir.
  7. Add another tsp of salt according to the taste.
  8. Add cream , lemon juice and mix, let it cook and reduce into thick gravy.
  9. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and turn off flame.
