About Rice balls Recipe

This Recipe is a fusion of Italian Recipe. The Italian rice balls are made from risotto rice. In this recipe, I have used Basmati rice and Indian spices.

Ingredients to make Rice balls

  • Cooked basmati rice 1 cup
  • Red capsicum finely chopped 1/4 cups
  • Yellow capsicum finely chopped 1/4 cups
  • coriander leaves finely chopped 2 Tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1 Tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chat masala 1/4 tsp
  • Parmesan cheese 4 Tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs 6-7 Tbsp
  • Mozzarella cheese 2 Tbsp
  • red chilly flakes1/4 tsp
  • cornflour 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • oil to fry

How to make Rice balls

  1. Put cooked rice, yellow and red capsicum, coriander leaves, salt, black pepper, garam masala, chat masala powder and 2 Tbsp of parmesan cheese in a big bowl .
  2. With your hands mix everything well make sure all the masalas and vegetables are properly mixed with rice.
  3. Put mozarella cheese ,2 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese and chilli flakes in a separate bowl and mix everything well.
  4. Divide the prepared cheese mixture into equal size small balls.
  5. Take a small portion of the rice mixture, and make it like a bowl.
  6. Keep a small ball of cheese in between the bowl and close it and make the round.
  7. Prepare the remaining rice balls (10-12) in this way.
  8. In a bowl mix cornflour with 2-3 Tbsp of water mix well and make a slurry.
  9. Roll rice ball one at a time in the cornflour solution and then cover it well with breadcrumbs.
  10. In this way, cover all the balls with breadcrumbs.
  11. Heat the oil in a deep pan.
  12. Put 3-4 prepared rice balls in hot oil at a time.
  13. Fry the balls until golden brown in color on medium flame.
  14. Remove the cooked balls in the plate.
  15. Serve hot with sauce of your choice.

My Tip:

Instead of cheese you can also fill the vegetable.
