About Ragi semaiya upma Recipe

Ragi semaiya upma is a healthy,tasty and traditional breakfast recipe of south india.It is yummy in taste, and healthy because of vegetables and ragi sevaiyan.

Ingredients to make Ragi semaiya upma

  • 2 cup ragi semaiyan
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp chana daal
  • 1 tbsp urad daal
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp sweet corn
  • 2 tbsp carrot
  • 2 tbsp cabbage
  • coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Spring onion
  • salt as per taste

How to make Ragi semaiya upma

  1. Take water and add deviyan in it
  2. Soak them for 3 min.
  3. Sieve them and remove water
  4. Take a steamer add water in it
  5. Take a strainer and grease it with oil
  6. Add deviyan in it and cook in steamer for 3-4 min.
  7. When they cook their colour will change
  8. Take out them from steamer
  9. Take 2 forks and separate them from sticking with each other
  10. Now heat oil in pan
  11. Add jeera,rai and hing
  12. Add urad daal and chana daal
  13. Let them cook
  14. Then add onion,curry leaves and green chilli
  15. Saute them then add carrot and cabbage
  16. Cover and cook
  17. Then add boiled corn
  18. Add salt and mix
  19. Lastly add semiyan and mix
  20. Add coriander leaves
  21. Finally add spring onion green and our nutritious upma is ready to serve

My Tip:

Can add any vegetables as per desire and avaibility
