About Sattu Paratha Recipe

This is a traditional break fast of Bihar

Sattu Paratha

Ingredients to make Sattu Paratha

  • 3 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup sattu
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon musterd oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • water as required
  • ghee for frying

How to make Sattu Paratha

  1. Make a dough of wheat flour for parathas. Rest it for 30 minutes.
  2. For stuffing- mix sattu, salt, turmeric powder, carom seeds, musterd oil, termeric powder, green chillies, lemon juice & water. Remember that you do not need a dough, you need cramble of sattu so add water little by little.
  3. Make small balls of wheat flour dough. Stuff the balls with sattu mixture & roll it with roller.
  4. Fry the parathas with ghee or oil in low flame.
