About Moong Dal Adai dosa Recipe

This is very healthy famous and staple breakfast at my place from Kerala

Moong Dal Adai dosa

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Adai dosa

  • Raw rice - 2 cups
  • Green moong dal - 1 cup
  • urad dal - 1/2 cup
  • methi seeds - 1 tspn
  • Dry red chilly - 7
  • curry leaves- 5 to 6 sprigs
  • Small baby onion - 1 cup
  • ginger - half inch piece
  • green chilly - 2
  • hing - 1/4 tspn
  • salt to taste
  • Oil- 2 tbspn(coconut oil preferred)

How to make Moong Dal Adai dosa

  1. Wash and soak the rice and dals for 4 hours along with the dry red chillies and methi seeds.
  2. Later grind them to a smooth paste....
  3. Now in the same mixer jar put the curry leaves,ginger,green chilly and small baby onions and grind it (slightly coarsely)
  4. Mix this in the batter ...Put salt and hing...
  5. Heat a tawa.... Pour the batter and spread it in circular motion and make dosa ...
  6. Drizzle oil over it and cook from both sides till nice and crisp
  7. Serve hot with sambhar ,chutney or molgapodi

My Tip:

Here you can use a mix of other dals also...It is better to consume the batter within 2 days....Keep in fridge.
