Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole wheat flour- 4 cups
  2. Palak leaves washed and cut - 1 bunch
  3. Boiled potato- 2
  4. Onion- 2 finely chopped
  5. Green chilly- 3 finely chopped
  6. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tspn
  7. Jeera powder-1/2 tspn
  8. Red chilly powder- 1/4 tspn
  9. Garam masala- 1/4 tspn(optional)
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil- 2 to 3 tbspn
  12. Ghee- 2 tbspn
  13. Water as per requirement


  1. Take the whole wheat flour in a big bowl....
  2. Put the salt and dry masala powders in it and mix well
  3. Peel and mash the potatoes
  4. Now put the chopped palak leaves,green chilly,onion and mashed potatoes in it.
  5. Add very little water by sprinkling it and knead the dough....
  6. Now add little oil in your palms and final knead the dough...
  7. Make balls with this dough and use some dry flour and roll them to make paranthas
  8. Heat a non stick pan and put the rolled parantha on the hot pan
  9. Cook from both sides...drizzle oil over both the sides...press with a spatula and cook till nice and brown
  10. Remove the parantha in a plate....apply ghee on top....
  11. Serve hot with curd,pickle,sauce , green chutney or dal
