Fresh Arabic Hummus

Ingredients to make Fresh Arabic Hummus

  • 2 cups chickpeas (Boiled)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 tbsp Tahini paste
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • salt as per taste

How to make Fresh Arabic Hummus

  1. In a blender, add cooked chickpeas and pulse into a smooth paste. You can add water used to cook the chickpeas.
  2. Add garlic, salt, lemon juice, tahini paste and pulse into smooth paste.
  3. Add olive oil and pulse again to get a smooth paste.
  4. Remove in a bowl and serve with pita breads.

My Tip:

Tahini paste is sesame grinded to a fine paste, available in stores. Traditionally dried lemon is also added to give flavours with some pepper corns while grinding.
