ABOUT Arabic Hummus RECIPE

Hummus is a dip or spread made using mashed chickpeas , tahini , lime juice and other few ingredients . Arabic dishes go incomplete without hummus . Hummus is a very popular , regular dip among Arabs. Hummus goes well with kuboos /Arabic bread and broasted chicken .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Overnight soaked and boiled chickpeas 1 cup
  2. Garlic cloves 2
  3. Lemon juice 1/2 tablespoons
  4. Tahini ( sesame paste ) 2 tablespoons
  5. Pepper flakes 1/4 tablespoon
  6. Salt as required .
  7. Sumac for garnishing
  8. Olive oil 3 tablespoons
  9. Parsley freshly chopped ( optional ) .
  10. Fresh goat cheese ( optional ) for topping

Instructions

  1. Take one cup finely boiled chickpeas without water .
  2. In a food processor , add the boiled chickpeas , pepper flakes and mulch well .
  3. Add finely crushed garlic and salt .
  4. Then add Tahini and mix well .
  5. Never add oil to this mixture while preparing .
  6. Once this smooth paste is prepared .
  7. Transfer the paste to a bowl or plate .
  8. Add lemon juice to this paste .
  9. Just before serving , add sumac , parsley and fresh goat cheese and spread over the hummus using a spoon .
  10. Drizzle olive oil on top of this delicious Arabic hummus to add more flavour and taste .
  11. A healthy treat to relish .
