Ingredients to make Mix Vegetable Cutlet Sandwich

  • For cutlet:
  • Boiled potatoes -2
  • Parboiled peas and corn - 1 tbsp each
  • Grated or finely chopped carrot - 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped onions - 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped capsicum - 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped cabbage - 1 tbsp
  • chilli ginger paste as per taste
  • salt as per taste
  • Bread crumbs - 1 cup
  • And cornflour slurry
  • oil to fry.
  • For Sandwich:
  • Bread slices - 16 or hotdogs bun
  • butter as per choice
  • Salad- (onion tomatoes and cucumber slices )as per choice
  • Green chutney and ketchup
  • Chat masala to sprinkle

How to make Mix Vegetable Cutlet Sandwich

  1. For cutlets: In a bowl, mix potatoes, all veggies, salt, Ginger-chilli paste and mix all together properly add 3 tbsp of breadcrumbs and mix .
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions give shape to tikkis round or elongated as per your choice.
  3. Heat oil for frying (you may shallow fry or air fry them too) make a slurry of 1 tbsp cornflour and 1/2 cup water .dip the cutlet in the slurry, roll in crumbs and fry till golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towel.
  4. For Sandwich:
  5. Apply butter and green chutney on bread slices on one bread arrange the salad (onion, tomatoes and cucumber slices) sprinkle chat masala (optional) put a cutlet press it lightly and cover with another bread cut and serve with ketchup and chutney.
  6. You may use the hotdogs bun instead and similarly apply butter and chilli sauce or chutney and proceed similarly.
  7. You can toast or grill the sandwich if you prefer crispy hot sandwich .

My Tip:

You can add vegetables of your choice and also use brown bread instead white bread.
