Yellow dal and spinach kadhi

Ingredients to make Yellow dal and spinach kadhi

  • 1/2 cup split yellow pulse
  • 1-1/2 cup spinach finely chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 spoon gram flour
  • 1/2 spoon salt
  • 1/4 spoon turmeric powder
  • 2 spoon oil
  • 1/4 spoon cumin seeds
  • 1/8 spoon asfoetida
  • 1/4 spoon red chilli powder

How to make Yellow dal and spinach kadhi

  1. Put yellow pulse and water in a wok
  2. Cover and Boil for 4 minutes and add spinach
  3. Cook for 3-4 minutes
  4. Mix buttermilk,gram flour,salt and turmeric powder in a bowl and make a thin batter
  5. Pour this batter into cooked spinach and boil for 8-10 minutes by stirring continuously
  6. Take out in a serving bowl
  7. Heat oil in a big laddle and add cumin seeds,asfoetida and chilli powder
  8. Pour on prepared kadhi
