ABOUT NAWABI MATAR RECIPE

It is a matar recipie with a different taste ,one can enjoy this dish with roti ,paratha ,poories in winter

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Peas 300 gram( peeled)
  2. Khoya or Mawa 100 gram
  3. cumin seeds one teaspoon
  4. coriander seeds one teaspoon
  5. red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  6. dry ginger powder half teaspoon
  7. turmeric powder half teaspoon
  8. garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Desi Ghee 2 tablespoons
  10. kasuri Methi (dried fenugreek leaves) 1 tablespoon
  11. salt as per taste
  12. hot water as required

Instructions

  1. boil the peas
  2. meanwhile dry roast cumin and coriander, and make powder
  3. cut the Khoya into small pieces
  4. now heat ghee in a pan
  5. Fry the Khoya in low flame for a minute
  6. now add red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon of roasted cumin- coriander powder, turmeric powder, dry ginger powder
  7. Fry the masalas for few seconds
  8. now add garam masala powder to it
  9. combine well
  10. add little amount of hot water
  11. when it starts boiling add the boiled peas and salt
  12. when the gravy become thick Sprinkle kasuri methi
  13. Nawabi matar is ready to serve
