ABOUT matar paneer RECIPE

This is a delicious curry made with paneer and green peas to be served with roti or naan on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. paneer
  2. matar
  3. onions
  4. ginger
  5. tomatoes
  6. green chilly
  7. cashews
  8. char magaj
  9. Kashmirii red mirch powder
  10. salt
  11. kasuri methi
  12. oil


  1. take one spoon oil in kadai,add chopped onion,ginger,green chilly saute it.add diced tomatoes, shallow fry it.
  2. Then add cashew nuts.cool it and make a smooth paste with adding char magaj. meanwhile blanch the green peas
  3. heat oil in a pan add the onion paste.keep the gas in sim,it will take around 15 -20 mins to fry the masala,once the oil become visible from masala add green peas,fry for 2-3 mins,add salt,kasmiri mirch powder and turmeric.
  4. fry for another 2 mins add water,and paneer.boil it for some mins.once it is done crush the kasuri methi and add. mix and boil for few seconds and then serve hot.
