Matar paneer cooked in pressure cooker. With a twist in the regular masalas, it is indeed flavourful.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Paneer 150 gms
  2. Matar 100 gm
  3. Onion 2 medium
  4. Garlic 3 to 4 cloves
  5. Ginger 1 inch
  6. Green chilli 2
  7. Green cardamom 4
  8. Cinnamon 1/2 inch
  9. Chicken masala 1/2 tsp
  10. Pani puri masala 1/2 a tsp
  11. Oil as required
  12. salt as per taste
  13. Coriander powder 1 1/2 tsp
  14. Turmeric 1/2 tsp


  1. Put diced onions in a grinder. Add garlic, ginger, green cardamom, dalchini, coriander powder, chicken masala and green chillies in it along with a little water and grind it.
  2. Heat oil in a cooker. Add in jeera and let it crackle. Add in the onion mix and fry till the raw smell goes away.
  3. Fry it till oil separates.
  4. Sprinkle turmeric powder, salt and pani puri masala. Mix well and put the matar. Saute for 4-5 mins. Now add paneer. Saute it for 2- 3 mins. Add water and adjust the salt. Pressure cook it for 1 or 2 whistles.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Serve hot with roti, paratha or poori.
