ABOUT Tricolour Vegetable Suji Upma RECIPE

Capsicum, Carrots and Onions adds colour and tastes to a simple suji upma.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Suji
  2. 3 cups of Water
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1 Capsicum
  5. 1 Onion
  6. 1 tomato
  7. 1 tsp salt (as to taste)
  8. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  9. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  10. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  11. 3-4 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Roast suji and keep out aside.
  2. Take a pan, put oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  3. As crackling starts add chopped onion. Saute it.
  4. Add capsicum and saute it for a minute.
  5. Add tomatoes saute it. Add salt and pepper, mix well.
  6. Add roasted suji and saute it.
  7. Add water and lemon juice. Boil it for 2-3 minutes and stir in between.
  8. Upma is ready to serve.
