Aloo Gobhi

Ingredients to make Aloo Gobhi

  • mustard oil 3tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • Pav bhaji masala 1 tbsp
  • Dried methi 2 tbsp
  • Green chilli chopped 3-4
  • cauliflower 1kg
  • potatoes 3 medium-sized
  • onions sliced 2 medium-sized
  • garlic chopped 2tbsp
  • ginger chopped 2tbsp
  • tomatoes chopped 2
  • coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Aloo Gobhi

  1. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds,red chilli ,turmeric, ginger,garlic and onions
  2. Saute onions till golden brown, add tomatoes, green chilli
  3. When oil seperates add cauliflower , potatoes,salt,garam masala,methi then cover with lid and cook on low flame until done
  4. Add coriander leaves, pav bhaji masala and serve hot with chapatis or pranthas

My Tip:

In summers soak cauliflower in water with baking soda for 15 minutes, rinse with water and then cook.
