    About Mourala fish curry. Recipe

    I learnt from my mother.mourala fish is very common in West Bengal.

    Mourala fish curry.

    Ingredients to make Mourala fish curry.

    • mourola fish 200 grams.
    • 1medium sized chopped potato.
    • sugar and salt to taste.
    • Chopped 1 big size onion.
    • ginger garlic paste 1 tasp.
    • 1 small size chopped tomato.
    • green chilli paste 1 tbsp.
    • Rosted cumin powder 1 tbsp.
    • Rosted coriander powder 1/2tbsp.
    • turmeric powder 1 tsp.
    • mustard oil 2-3 tbsp.
    • coriander leaves 2 tbsp.

    How to make Mourala fish curry.

    1. Wash fishes ,add some tumeric powder, salt and mix it well.shallow fry and remove it.keep aside.
    2. Heat mustard oil in a kadai then add the potato and fry till it is golden colour and remove it keep aside.
    3. Then add the chopped onion and cook it for 3-4 minutes till it is golden colour,add finely chopped tomatoes and chopped green chilli paste for 3 minutes.after this time add ginger,garlic paste, tumeric powder, rosted cumin, coridender powder,salt and suger to taste.
    4. Cook on high flame till oil starts separate.
    5. Add 1 cup water and lower the flame for some times.then add fried potato and fish in the gravy cover it and cook for 10-12 minutes.
    6. Switch off the flame,garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
    7. Serve with plain rice.
