Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sakarkandi (sweet potato)5 to 6
  2. Marination
  3. Olive oil 2 tbsp
  4. Garlic pods 7 to 10finely chopped
  5. Chillie flakes 1 tbsp
  6. Tamarind paste 1 tsp
  7. Red chillie sauce 1 tbsp
  8. Fresh mint 2 tbsp chopped
  9. Fresh coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  10. Rock salt 1/4 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Pepper tp taste
  13. Tandoori masala 1 tsp
  14. For dip
  15. Thick yogurt 2 tbsp
  16. Red chilli pwdr 1/2 tsp
  17. Salt a pinch
  18. Few mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Par boil the sakarkandi
  2. Peel the skin and slice them diagonally and set aside
  3. PREPEARE THE MARINATION
  4. In a big bowl,Take the olive oil,chillies flakes,garlic and chilli sauce
  5. Add the fresh mint and coriander leaves
  6. Add the tamarind paste,salt,pepper,rock salt ,tabdoori masala and mix well
  7. Add the sliced sakarkandi
  8. Heat a charcoal and place it on a foil in the middle of the marinated sakarkandi and pour ghee
  9. Smoke the sakarkandis and over and let the smoke infuse into the marinated sakarkandis
  10. Pan fry the marinated sakrkandis till golden or crispy on both sides
  11. Serve with yogurt chilli dip
  12. DIP
  13. Simply whisk the yogurt along with red chillie pwdr and a pinch of salt.Add few mint leaves too
