Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sabudana - 1 & 1/2 cups
  2. Boiled mashed potatoes - 3 to 4
  3. groundnuts - 1 cup
  4. chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Sendha Namak/Salt to taste
  6. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  7. Sugar - 1/2 tablespoon
  8. Oil/Ghee - 4 tbsp
  9. Cumin/Jeera- 1 tbs
  10. Raisins- 4-5

Instructions

  1. Soak 1.5 cups of sabudana in enough water for at least 2 hrs.
  2. Remove water and leave for 4 to 5 hrs . Now take 3 to 4 boiled potatoes and mash them well.
  3. Roast a cup of ground nuts.
  4. Mix the sabudana, boiled potatoes & crushed ground nuts.
  5. Add salt, lemon juice & sugar.
  6. Take 2 tsp oil in a pan, put cumin and raisin in it, saute. Now pour this in the mixture & mix well.
  7. Form balls with oiled palms, place in a heated Appam pan for 10 minutes on slow heat, turn and cook to give it a nice colour.
