Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups urad dal
  2. 2 tsp rice flour
  3. 1 tsp ginger finely chopped
  4. 3 green chilli finely chopped
  5. Curry leaves 5-6 finely chopped
  6. Coriander leaves 2 tsp
  7. salt as per taste
  8. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add 2 cups urad dal wash and soak it overnight.
  2. Strain the water,
  3. Transfer it to a mixer jar and grind it well.
  4. Grind the rest of the urad dal similarly.
  5. Whisk it well for a few minutes.
  6. Now add 2 tsp rice flour, ginger, green chilli, curry leaves, coriander leaves and salt.
  7. Whisk it well again. Medu vada batter is ready.
  8. Heat the oil, apply some water on you palm n finger., Make a hole.
  9. Once the oil is hot, fry the medu vadas.
  10. Be careful while putting them in the oil.
  11. Fry them on slow flame to make the crispy.
  12. Flip them occasionaly.
  13. Fry them till they become golden brown colour
  14. Medu vadas have been fried well, take them out in tissue paper.
  15. Medu vadas are ready.
  16. Serve it hot with green chutney or sambar.
