ABOUT medu vada RECIPE

vada made up of urad dal served with sambar

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. urad dal 2 cups
  2. rice 1/2 cup
  3. ginger 1 inch piece
  4. zeera 1 tsp
  5. red chilli 2
  6. salt
  7. onion 3sliced
  8. coriander leaves
  9. green chilli chopped
  10. oil for frying

Instructions

  1. soak dal and rice for two hrs and make a paste
  2. grind ginger,cumin seeds and red chilli not to fine paste
  3. add this paste ,salt,onion,green chilli,and coriander leaves to the urad dal paste
  4. now make small doughnut in your palm and deep fry it
  5. serve with sambar or chutney
