ABOUT Bread Roll RECIPE

These bread rolls are perfect for breakfast and tiffin. They are loved by both kids and adults. The yummy chicken and corn filling is perfect on the taste buds. They are easy to prepare. You can make the filling the night before and quickly wrap them up in bread in the mornings.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 6 bread slices
  2. 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  3. 2-3 tbsp water
  4. 2 tbsp butter
  5. For chicken filling :
  6. 1 cup boiled and shredded chicken
  7. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  8. 1 green chili, finely chopped
  9. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  10. 1/2 cup sweet corn kernels
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp coriander powder
  13. 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  14. 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  15. Salt to taste
  16. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  17. 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and green chili. Sauté well. Add ginger garlic paste and cook on high flame till the raw smell of garlic disappears.
  2. Add shredded chicken, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, Garam masala powder and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add corn and mix well. Allow to cool.
  4. Take a slice of bread. Cut out the edges and roll with a rolling pin.
  5. Place filling on the bread and gently roll to form a cylinder shape. Apply a mixture of all purpose flour and water and seal its edges and sides.
  6. Heat a pan. Add some butter and place bread roll. Cook till golden brown. Serve with tomato ketchup.
