Daal Makhni

Ingredients to make Daal Makhni

  • Whole black urad daal...1 cup
  • rajma.....1/4 cup
  • ginger onion garlic paste...3 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • coriander powder...1 tsp
  • chilli powder...1 tsp
  • turmeric powder....1 tsp
  • bay leaf...2
  • oil...3 tsp
  • jeera....1 tsp
  • hing....pinch
  • cream...4 tsp
  • tomato puree....1 cup

How to make Daal Makhni

  1. 1) Soak daal and rajma overnight.
  2. 2) In morning wash thoroughly and pressure cook for 15 minutes by adding salt and 4 cups water.
  3. 3) Take heavy bottomed kadai. Add oil. Add jeera, hing, and bay leaf.
  4. 4) Now add ginger, onion and garlic paste and cook for 2_3 minutes.
  5. 5) Add tomato puree and cook till oil separates.
  6. 6) Now add turmeric, chill and coriander powder. Cook for 2 minutes.
  7. 7) Add boiled daal rajma mix. Adjust salt and water. Cook on sim for 20 minutes.
  8. 8) Add half of cream . Mix. Cook for 1 minute.
  9. 9) Transfer in serving bowl.
  10. 10) Garnish with cream.
  11. Enjoy.
