ABOUT Spicy Mixed Veg Sabzi (No onion No garlic) RECIPE

This is a no-onion and no-garlic recipe that is best during fasting.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green Peas 1 cup
  2. Potatoes 2
  3. Cauliflower 1 cup, chopped
  4. Capsicum 1 small sized
  5. Tomato 1
  6. Curry leaves 1 sprig
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
  9. coriander powder 1 tsp
  10. Jeera/Cumin 1/2 tsp
  11. Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  12. Kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  14. Masala to grind:
  15. Grated coconut 1 tbsp
  16. Cloves 4
  17. Nutmeg- a small piece
  18. Khus-khus/ Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  19. Cashew nuts 8-10

Instructions

  1. Grind the ingredients listed under the masala section in a blender to form a smooth paste. Keep it aside.
  2. Then boil the green peas. Keep it aside.
  3. Take a pan, add in oil and splutter the jeera. Then add the curry leaves and fry. Now add the chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder and coriander powder, cook it in a low flame.
  4. Next add the chopped vegetables and a little water, bring this to a boil. Once the veggies are hard-boiled, add the grounded masala, boiled green peas, fresh cream, salt and bring to a boil.
  5. Garnish with kasoori methi and coriander leaves.
