Ingredients to make Veg Pakora

  • Finely chopped onions- 1 cup
  • Grated carrot- 1/4 cup
  • Roughly chopped french beans- 1/4 cup
  • Finely chopped mint and curry leaves, a handful
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Besan/ Chickpea flour 1 cup
  • Rice flour 4 tsp
  • cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  • Hing/asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil to deep fry

How to make Veg Pakora

  1. Slit the french beans and remove the seed to prevent it splutter during frying. Combine all the ingredients together.
  2. Meanwhile heat the oil.
  3. Once it is medium hot, drop the pakora batter in any desired shapes. Deep fry them till they turn golden brown. Serve with chai.

My Tip:

If baking, preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and bake them for 10 to 12 mins while flipping in between to prevent charring.
